California Privacy Notice
This California Privacy Notice supplements our Privacy Policy and applies to visitors, users, and others who reside in the State of California ("consumers" or "you"). It describes the personal information we collect, how it is used and disclosed, and the rights California residents have under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the "CCPA"). Terms defined in the CCPA have the same meaning when used in this notice.
1. Personal information we collect and disclose

Much of the information in your archive is optional and is only collected if you choose to enter or upload it.
2. Sources of personal information
- Directly from you, when you create an account, subscribe, build your archive, create presentations, or contact us.
- From people who view a shared presentation and provide their name and email to unlock it.
- Automatically from your browser or device when you use the Service.
- From our payment processor, which confirms the status of your subscription and payments.
3. Why we collect it
We collect and use personal information for the business purposes described in Section 2 of our Privacy Policy: providing and maintaining the Service, processing subscriptions and payments, responding to support requests, sending service messages, keeping the Service secure, debugging, and meeting legal obligations.
4. No sale or sharing of personal information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined in the CCPA. We have not done so in the past 12 months. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age. Because we do not sell or share personal information, we do not offer a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link. We treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as a valid request to opt out of sale and sharing.
5. Sensitive personal information
We use sensitive personal information only to provide the Service you request, to keep your account secure, and for other purposes permitted by the CCPA regulations. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you, so we do not offer a "Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information" link.
6. How long we keep it
We keep each category of personal information for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward to complete a deletion request, meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and maintain security. Information that you delete from your account, or that we delete at your request, may remain in routine backups for a limited time until those backups are overwritten. Presentation viewer names and emails are kept with the presentation until the archive owner deletes the presentation or the account is closed.
7. Your California privacy rights
Subject to certain exceptions, California residents have the right to:
- Know and access: request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources, the business purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties to whom we disclosed it.
- Delete: request that we delete personal information we collected from you.
- Correct: request that we correct inaccurate personal information. You can also correct most information yourself from your account.
- Opt out of sale or sharing: we do not sell or share personal information, but you may still submit a request.
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information: we use it only for permitted purposes, as described above.
- Non-discrimination: we will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of service because you exercised any of these rights.
8. How to submit a request
To exercise your rights, contact us by email at info@myaviationarchive.com with the subject line "California Privacy Request," call us at , or use our contact form. Please tell us which right you want to exercise.
Verification. To protect your information, we will verify your identity before responding to a request to know, delete, or correct. Usually we do this by matching the request to the email address on your account, and we may ask you to confirm from that address or to provide additional information. We use the information you provide for verification only to verify your request.
Authorized agents. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request for you. We will require written permission signed by you, and we may ask you to verify your identity directly with us, unless the agent holds a valid power of attorney under California Probate Code §§ 4121–4130.
Timing. We will confirm receipt of your request within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days. If we need more time (up to an additional 45 days), we will tell you why. Requests to know are limited to twice in a 12-month period and are free of charge.
9. "Shine the Light" disclosure
California Civil Code § 1798.83 allows California residents to request information about the disclosure of personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
